HS: South Kent, Choate are Prep No. 1s
Choate Rosemary Hall (Conn.) inherits the No. 1 girls in the TopDrawerSoccer.com Prep Top 10 this week after last week's No. 1 and 2 teams suffered losses.
On the boys side, South Kent School (Conn.) remains No. 1, ahead of Berkshire School (Mass.).
Both Top 10s underwent quite a bit of shuffling as early results are showing the parity of several teams. On the boys side, there seems to be a clear No. 1 and 2 at this point. Beyond that, its a matter of who is playing the best at that momemnt. On the girls, the season is shaping up to be quite a revolving door for the entire Top 10. Consider that last week, then No. 8-ranked Worcester Academy (Mass.) defeated No. 10 Groton School (Mass.), which beat No. 2 Phillips Andover (Mass.), which beat No. 1 Rivers School (Mass.). With the large amount of play among the current Top 10 remaining, expect a season full of teams moving up and down on a week-to-week basis.
The Prep Top 10 is comprised of schools in the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council and the Mid-Atlantic Prep League, as well as other independent prep schools. Schools in these rankings are not eligible for the FAB 50 high school rankings because these programs either field post-grad players or compete in a league with or against teams with post-grad and/or fifth-year athletes.
