HS: Undefeated N.C. team disbands season

The Charlotte Observer is reporting that Garinger (Charlotte, N.C.) has fired its coach and disbanded its high school team for the season despite a 5-0-1 start. Read more from the Charlotte newspaper.
Garinger is been in the TopDrawerSoccer.com state and regional rankings in part of the last five seasons. The team peaked in 2013, when it went 22-1. Some of the top players to come out of the program include Tresor Mbuyu and Shalom Dutey, both playing for Liberty University. Mbuyu is Liberty's leading scorer.
