HS: Winter SIMA FAB 50 rankings, Dec. 9
San Clemente (Calif.) became the first SIMA FAB 50 boys Top 5 team to suffer defeat, and the 2-0 setback simply vaulted Paramount into the Top 25, highlighting the changes this week.
Paramount's 2-0 win over San Clemente now sets Paramount up with another chance to improve upon its ranking if it can beat or tie current No. 3 Loyola this week.
The following are some of the highlights from last week's moves:
BOYS
Sandra Day O'Connor (Ariz.) jumps 13 spots after winning both matches last week, led by the scoring of Portland commit Jackson Jellah.
[Choctawhatchee (Fort Walton Beach) fl-m] (Fla.) moves into the No 25 spot following a 12-0 start. The team is averaging six goals per match.
GIRLS
Ursuline Academy (Texas) delivered quite the statement win, pounding rival and former SIMA FAB 50 Top 25-ranked Nolan Catholic 5-1 in the Bears' inaugural home match on its new field.
