HS: Winter state, region rankings, Feb. 4
The first winter state champions have been crowned, and more will follow this week.
Kamehameha-Kapalama (Hawaii) girls entered the week ranked No. 1 in Hawaii by TopDrawerSoccer and ended the week by hoisting the state championship trophy, reinforcing its ranking. Leah Feato netted the game-winning goal as the Warriors held off upstart Campbell (Hawaii) 1-0 in the Hawaii Division I championship for the program's ninth state title but first since 2014.
This week, Hawaii boys and Mississippi boys and girls will crown state champions.
On the girls side, there were no state or regional changes at No. 1. However, on the boys side, Hawaii, Mississippi and Texas all have new state No. 1 teams this week.
