SIMA FAB 50: Final fall rankings for 2019
The 2019 fall high school season came to a close Saturday night with champions crowned in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Missouri and Washington.
While the SIMA FAB 50 titles already had been secured, the final week's results did bring about a little some slight movement in time for the final rankings.
Rockwood Summit (Mo.), Longmeadow (Mass.) and DeSmet (Mo.) secured their places among the boys elite with state titles Saturday. Summit finishes in the Top 5 while Longmeadow and DeSmet end in the Top 25. Overall, 15 of the final Top 25 teams started the season in the SIMA FAB 50.
In girls soccer, Glastonbury (Conn.), a preseason Top 10 team, returned to the Top 25 following a state title where it took out two Top 25 teams in the final week of action.
This is also the first week for the winter boys and girls weekly rankings, and there was little movement since the preseason polls were released. Preseason Winter No. 1 Montverde Academy (Fla.) boys are off to a perfect start while preseason girls No. 1 JSerra (Calif.) has yet to play.
