Houston Dynamo Residential Elite Camp

Houston Dynamo Residential Elite Camp, presented by Statoil, offers a professional training experience and identification showcase for boys aged 10-18 from June 17-21. The Residential Elite Camp will be held at the Houston Amateur Sports Park with accommodation and meals provided at nearby University of Houston. Train alongside the Houston Dynamo first team under the direction of Dynamo Academy and Pre-Academy coaching staff. Each player also receives a full training uniform and a ticket to the Houston Dynamo v Toronto FC game at BBVA Compass Stadium on June 20. 

 

The Houston Dynamo are a Major League Soccer club that has won two MLS Cup championships and three conference championships in its first six seasons and qualified to represent the United States in international competition five times, including in the 2012-13 CONCACAF Champions League. The Dynamo will start playing at BBVA Compass Stadium in downtown Houston on May 12 against DC United. The Houston Dynamo operates U13, U14 and U15 Pre-Academy teams and U16 and U18 US Soccer Development Academy Teams overseen by Academy Director James Clarkson. 

 

HASP is also the permanent home and professional training center for the Houston Dynamo first team and Academy. The multi-field facility is located off State Highway 288, approximately 10 miles south of the Dynamo''s new downtown stadium site and 8 miles from the University of Houston. 

 

The University of Houston will be providing comfortable dorm accommodation and nutritious meal program to the players attending. Players will be in double rooms in the new Cougar Village student accommodation, adjacent to the catering facility. 

Transport is provided for players to and from HASP. 

 

The training will be led by current Dynamo Academy and Pre-Academy professional coaching staff. 

The Residential Elite Camp is available to boys aged 10-18 and will include current roster players from the Dynamo Academy and Junior Academy. The camp offers field and goalkeeper options. There is a maximum of 100 places available.

The camp consists of seven field training sessions, three classroom sessions and three game observation sessions. One of the game observation sessions is attendance at the June 20 Dynamo v Toronto game at BBVA Compass Stadium.

 

All sessions are designed to prepare players for Academy and Professional level play incorporating physical training, correct technical execution, game awareness, tactical strategy and emulating the behaviors and effort expected of a professional soccer player.
