TDS enjoys big presence at NSCAA Convention
January 19, 2010
This year’s edition of the NSCAA Convention was a big hit by all accounts, and TopDrawerSoccer.com is happy to have been right in the middle of it.
The video interviews were piped in live to the big TV screen on the other side of the giant booth, making it a popular stopping place for passers-by to see what all the fuss was about from the official online broadcasters of the event. This same screen also showed tape loops featuring ASM products and a number of TDS originals put together by Corner and TDS New Media Director Nick Miller (also including stellar acting by Dvorkin, PCS Director Jon Gluck and ASM Marketing Manager Lauren Ford.)
Of course the SPY Awards was another big part of the company’s presence at the convention. More than 250 people crowded into the Liberty Ballroom for the spectacular affair.
The convention drew thousands of coaches from across the country, with features including dozens of informative breakout sessions, myriad meetings for various business and other organizations in the American soccer arena, both the Major League Soccer and WPS drafts, a posh banquet, an All-America awards luncheon and yes, plenty of opportunities for socializing in and around the host hotel. Nobody seemed to be lacking enjoyment through the weekend.

The Advanced Soccer Media booth, featuring ASM properties including TopDrawerSoccer.com, PCS, SuperElite® and ESNN, was a big hit on the floor at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The corner lot held by the ASM booth was a constant hubbub of activity as folks stopped by to talk soccer with SuperElite® director Jon Spencer, do interviews with TDS reporters Robert Ziegler and Jahmal Corner, and do business with a host of ASM staffers including Director of Business Development, Ron Dvorkin. The video interviews were piped in live to the big TV screen on the other side of the giant booth, making it a popular stopping place for passers-by to see what all the fuss was about from the official online broadcasters of the event.
