USA to miss the 2018 World Cup
The U.S. Men’s National Team will miss the World Cup for the first time since 1986. The Bruce Arena-led squad failed to secure a point on the final day of CONCACAF qualifying and shockingly dropped from third place to fifth place in the regional standings.
Trinidad & Tobago, with nothing to play for, defeated USA 2-1 thanks to an own goal from Omar Gonzalez and a screamer from Alvin Jones. USA’s lone player Christian Pulisic managed to score a goal in the second half, but failed to create much else against a home team that had nothing to play for on Tuesday after already being eliminated from contention from the World Cup during the last set of games.
Following a miserable night, perhaps the worst, in U.S. Soccer history, here are the best tweets in response to the USA missing out on the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
And everybody talked shit about Jürgen!!! Ridiculous stupid.... man I get too much!!! I feel sorry for the boys!

The amazing thing is that as shitty as we played, if this call isn't spectacularly blown the US is probably headed for a playoff. https://t.co/na1Lvy9su2

See, so many are already asking who the USMNT coach should be. Wrong question.

US soccer fans asking "clean house?" No. Level it. Rebuild. A reality check. From rock bottom CAN come rebirth. But For now, we are pissed
