2010 Girls Top 100 rankings released 10/15
October 15, 2009
The girls got next!
In the second unveiling of our Top 100 Ranking lists, we’re bringing you the 2010 Girls class.
But as of today, it’s all about players like Jenna Richmond – the UCLA-bound, U.S. national team regular who heads our ranking. Richmond is fearless, has overcome obstacles such as injury throughout her career, and is tactically astute on both sides of the ball; she’s the ideal player to start the year atop our list.
Fellow national team participants (2) Hayley Brock, (3) Kealia Ohai, (4) Elizabeth Eddy, and (5) Alexis Harris, join Richmond, as does (6) Anna Sieloff, the highest ranked goalkeeper in the country.
The top ten is rounded out by (7) Kaitlyn Fitzpatrick, (8) Kecia Morway – the only defender slotted so high - (9) Meagan Morris and (10) Wendy Taylor Travis.
As we’ve told you in the past, there are a couple changes we’ve made to our process in order to improve the quality and integrity of the rankings.
Another change you will notice is that some players will initially have no star rating (ie. NR). This simply means that our scouts have not been able to accurately rate this player and when they do an appropriate rating will be awarded.
As always, we encourage your feedback! Email us at rankings@topdrawersoccer.com and inform us of players and teams that we should be paying attention to. We are inviting you to become part of the process to ensure our ratings and rankings are accurate. Please do not use this open dialogue for complaints, criticisms, or propaganda – but rather as a forum to make Players To Watch better than ever!
Without further ado, your 2010 Top 100 Girls!
