2019 Boys IMG Academy Top 150 update
TopDrawerSoccer unveiled the IMG Academy Top 150 Players for the boys class of 2019 on Monday. The new ranking is third class to be released as part of the summer update. The girls class of 2019 will be released next week.

The TopDrawerSoccer staff assembles IMG Academy Top 150 player ranking with the help of coaches and scouts throughout the country. Hundreds of players are recommended for the list and the staff trims the list down to the top 150 players.
U.S. U17 Men’s National Team defender James Sands remains the No. 1 player in this class. Sands is a key piece for the national team and signed a Homegrown deal with New York City FC in June, becoming the first NYCFC academy product to sign with the first team.
LA Galaxy Academy forward Ulysses Llanez jumps into the top five with this update. Llanez was a key piece for LA Galaxy U18 in the Development Academy quarterfinal and semifinal. His play at the club earned the attention of the youth national team coaches, as he was recently called into the U.S. U17 Men’s National Team camp in Portland.
Toronto FC/Berkshire’s Jacob Shaffelburg is the top new player to the rankings. The high school star checks in at No. 18 in the IMG Academy Top 150 players for the class of 2019. Shaffelburg starred for Berkshire this past season, and seems to be on the fast track to the professional level.
