The ECNL Boys National Finals wrapped on Sunday from Striker Park in Central Virginia.

Five teams emerged triumphant as the 2025-26 season came to an end.

U13: XF Academy Dominates Title Tussle

XF Academy emerged as champions at the youngest age group with a dominant 6-2 win against SDSC Surf.

An even start in the game’s first five minutes was quickly tilted in favor of the Pacific Northwest powerhouse, as a trio of goals in 15 minutes swept the game away. 

Evan Pitman scored the first goal, as his hustle and first-to-the-ball mentality put XF Academy up early from a rebound. Cyprius Jackson and Zane Brown quickly added to that tally, building a comfortable lead after XF won 1-0 in Friday’s semifinal.

Pitman’s second of the game extended the lead in the second half, while Niko Ernoff and Brown rounded out the scoring for the champions.

U14: LAFC So Cal Rallies Past OK Energy FC

A late second-half rally spurred LAFC So Cal to a come-from-behind 2-1 win over OK Energy FC.

Neither side was able to create much in the first half, though Sebastian Dedmond, Saul Luna and Jhase Ladd all looked dangerous for the Oklahoma side.

Ladd eventually put OK Energy up front in the second half. He did well to corral a long ball between two defenders, settled it on his left foot and rolled a shot past the goalkeeper. 

But the So Cal side would rally. Lucas Ortega picked out a wide open Jake Stengl right in the six-yard box. He tied the game with a slotted finish.

Sergio Vivar put LAFC So Cal up just a few minutes later. He took a speculative effort that took a deflection and nestled into the bottom corner.

LAFC So Cal’s defense was able to hold off Oklahoma’s push at the end to secure the victory.

U15: Real Colorado Secures Second Straight Shutout in Final

Two games in the Richmond region, two 1-0 wins and a national championship for Real Colorado Academy. All in a weekend’s work.

A second straight dominant defensive effort, this time against SDSC Surf, captured the crown for the Colorado powerhouse.

Center back Sir Rucks capped off his team’s effort with a low finish from a second-half set piece. Rucks and Chase Hendricks helped do the rest in front of goalkeeper Jonah Bandell, keeping them at bay.

Alex Eshmann produced another strong effort in midfield, two days after scoring the winner in the semifinals, also a 1-0 win over Virginia Development Academy.

U16: Chang, Rico Lead XF Academy Past Concorde

Two goals each from Rivaldo Rico and Thomas Chang led XF Academy to a 4-1 win against Concorde Fire Platinum.

Rico put XF Academy up in the 35th minute after the two sides battled it out evenly in the first half hour. Chasing onto a loose ball from the back, he was first to it, looping it over the Concorde Fire Platinum GK.

Thomas Chang doubled the lead in the second half, coming in at the back post to slot in his team’s second of the game.

Rico drew a penalty in the 64th minute. With Concorde pressing up, Rico collected the ball and beat his defender, who lunged in and missed the ball. Chang converted the penalty to make it a 3-0 lead.

Jonathan Batres cut into the lead four minutes later. Floyd Cline dished off a square ball in transition, and Batres picked out the upper corner with a superb one-time finish.

That would be the only goal of the game for Concorde Fire, as Rico bagged a beautiful individual goal to cap off an impressive performance from XF Academy.

U17: Avalanche Stuns Solar with late come back

The Utah Avalanche produced a stunning come back to capture the Under-17 national championship.

Trailing by a 2-0 score against a tough Solar squad, it appeared like the North Texas side would cruise to a title. Alex Hernandez stepped up in a huge way, however.

The crafty midfielder scored a hat trick in eight minutes, flipping the deficit into a 3-2 lead late in the second half. Wyatt Affleck rounded out the scoring with a fourth in stoppage time, and the final whistle ensued celebrations for the Utah squad.

For the bulk of the game, Solar SC Academy appeared in control. Mario Dominguez scored in the fifth minute of the game, capping off a wonderful move in transition. Utah pressed forward but couldn’t find a way past the Solar back line for nearly the rest of the match

Jad Shehadeh’s left-footed wonder strike doubled the lead in the second half, it felt at the time that it would prove to be more than enough. Hernandez had second thoughts.

After cutting into the lead in the 78th minute, he converted a penalty six minutes later to tie the game. From there it was all Utah, Hernandez hitting the crossbar before putting his side in front in the 86th minute.

Affleck added a fourth from a long punt from the goalkeeper with Solar SC Academy pressing high in search of an equalizer.
