The newly formed ECNL Girls NorCal Conference takes flight for the first time this weekend, featuring several top clubs in Northern California.
The new conference offers a bit of travel relief for players and parents, which will be able to drive to the bulk of regular season games. MVLA and San Juan SC often compete for first-place honors, though it should be said that the likes of De Anza Force, Davis Legacy and Mustang SC are more than capable of winning the conference. Bay Area Surf joining ECNL Girls and slotting into the new conference only adds intrigue.
Like the Southwest Conference, action kicks off in September, and breaks in November, and is set to resume in March due to the California high school schedule.
Here’s a look at some of the teams to watch and players to know in the NorCal Conference.
