The U.S. Under-16 BNT is in Argentina this week, playing Uruguay and the host country on May 27 and 30.
It’s another step in the process of preparation for the 2025 Under-17 World Cup. With the bulk of this current roster born in 2008, the opportunity for head coach Gonzalo Segares to take another look at this group is there. With several players in the cycle already turning pro, it will be an interesting exercise to see which players end up getting released and which ones stay home. Some aren't considered below due to that. Players like Mathis Albert, Jack Mize (Borussia Dortmund), Maximo Carrizo (NYCFC) could end up not getting released regularly.
While there remains plenty of time to look through options, here’s a look at some of the players from this roster that should be key members of the squad as it prepares for the Concacaf Championship.
