ORLANDO, Fla. (December 30, 2010) – After four days of elite competition, the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (US Youth Soccer ODP) Boys Super Group concluded with Region I and Region III battling for both the 1994 and 1995 championships.

The final standings finished exactly the same in both groups with Region I finishing first, Region III second, Region IV third and Region II in fourth.

1995 Region I captured first place with their 1-0 victory over Region III. Daniel Bedoya scored the game winner in the 70th minute to give Region III their first loss of the week.

Region IV blew out of the gate against 1994 Region II to take third place with a 4-0 win. Emmanuel Boateng scored the first of his two goals just 4 minutes in and Eduardo Sanchez added another just 10 minutes later. Boateng made it a three goal lead in the 19th and Mathew Arbogast grabbed the fourth in the 30th.

Region I won the 1995 group thanks to a better overall record over Region III after a 1-1 tie today. The two teams drew 2-2 in their first game after Region III took a two goal lead, but Region I grabbed the lead today off a goal from Peter Pearson in the 40th. Region III didn’t take long to answer as Tyler Long equalized in the 46th to save the tie.

1994 Region IV and Region II also battled to a draw as neither team could get on the board in a 0-0 score. Region IV finishes in third place because of a better overall record which included a 2-1 victory over Region II on Tuesday.
