TDS Florida Unsigned Showcase Girls Best XI
Our final Unsigned Showcase of the year was held at the immaculate facility of IMG Academy. It was an intimate event on the girls side which provided an excellent opportunity for players and coaches to really get to know each other. The sunny day and perfect pitch allowed these Best XI players to showcase everything that they had to offer.

TDS Showcase Florida Girls Best XI:
GK Sarah Ward, Chargers SC, 2019: Ward is a young keeper who has tons of potential. She is a very good shot stopper, especially when she gets her feet moving forward. She is relatively quiet, but showed a good understanding of the game and her responsibilities. Ward can mature into a quality keeper if she continues to work on her foot skills and communication, but she already has the foundation to make a major impact moving forward.
D Madison Hill, Orlando City, 2020: Hill is a smart young player who sees the game very well. She always looks to lead her team from the back and to support her attacking players. Hill consistently plays simple; she rarely lost possession in the full field games at the Unsigned Showcase. Hill is a team organizer who isn’t afraid to communicate or to receive the ball under pressure.
D Grace Ward, Chargers SC, 2019: Ward has good physical attributes and is improving the technical side of the game. She makes sound decisions and showed a good understanding of the game. Ward consistently performed well under pressure and had excellent determination to win the ball. If she continues to improve on her technical game, Ward will become a quality defender.
D Emmanuelle Barrette, Canada, 2017: Barrette is a quality center back who has a decent first touch and great athletic attributes. She has excellent straight line speed, especially when chasing forwards down. Barrette is confident, both on the dribble and the pass, when she has time to pick her head up. She consistently wants to move for teammates to try to open up options.
M Kyra Blankenship, N/A, 2017: Blankenship is a versatile midfielder who showed excellent precision with her passes and an immaculate first touch. She makes good decisions on the ball and is an expert a slotting balls through the defense. Blankenship tended to be a bit quiet, but excelled when she communicated with her teammates. Her calmness under pressure will help her as she continues on her path towards the next level.
M Jaclyn Gilday, Orlando City, 2019: Gilday is a well-rounded player who is proficient in a wide array of areas. She has great control and vision, which allows her to consistently pick out precise passes for teammates. Gilday reads the game well and understands the game and where the ball needs to move.
M Sophia Wages, Chargers SC, 2018: Wages is a crafty midfielder who has quality fundamental skills and a good understanding of the game. She expertly finished an opportunity in the full sided games and showed great confidence in space. The speed and strength she possesses is a nice compliment to her technical abilities.
F Caileen Almeida, Charlotte Soccer Academy, 2021: Almeida moves off the ball incredibly well, always opening space for herself and teammates in attack. She is very difficult to defend 1v1 and is always willing to take players on. Almeida is an impressive attacker at an incredibly young age; the future is bright if she continues to advance her game.
F Kyra Idris, Atlanta Fire United SA, 2018: Idris is a dangerous forward who constantly runs with a purpose and strikes fear in an opposing back line. She has good control and an ability to knock the ball into space and get on the end of it. She makes smart decisions when under pressure and is always looking to move for teammates, is best when moving forward and has a quality shot which she needs to use more.
F Kayla Kanales, Cape Coral SA, 2018: Kanales was one of the most exciting players at the Unsigned Showcase. She has a variety of weapons in her arsenal including excellent vision, deceptive speed, sharp movement, and a soccer IQ beyond her years. Kanales is a calm, confident player who is on an excellent path towards the future.
F Ireland Flood, New Jersey Wildcats, 2017: Flood constantly does right thing. She has good control of the ball and skill on the dribble. She reads the game well and is comfortable under pressure. Flood combines her great size with an understanding of how to use her body. Above all, Flood is an excellent team player who is always willing to go the extra mile to help her team and teammates succeed.
