Top 20 players from ECNL Texas Day 2
FORT WORTH, Texas — Another day at ECNL Texas is in the books, which means another crop of impressive players stated their case as best of the event’s best. Here’s a look at the 20 best players TopDrawerSoccer.com took in on another gorgeous day in Fort Worth.
F Hannah Allred, Dallas Texans U15s: The Texans pushed their record to 2-0-0 this week with a 2-1 win over talented a Crossfire Premier team, and Jayroe scored one of the Texans’ goals on a lovely strike. She did work up top and continually found herself in dangerous positions for the Texans, whose record now stands at a sterling 8-1-4. Of note: she’s already qualified for a Duke talent ID program.
D Katrina Koomen, Michigan Hawks U16s: Looking for a defender with the physical tools to be good right away? You could do much worse than Kooman, who looks about 6-feet even already and has speed to go with her size. Koomen was deployed at left back for the Hawks in their 4-2 loss to the Dallas Sting, but her even play was hardly to blame for most of their miscues. Seems to have the ability to slide over to center back if needed as well.

M Margaret Halvorson, Colorado Storm U15s: U14 GNT experience? Check. An incredible amount of skill? Check. A propensity to make defenders look silly? Check that one off too. Halvorson has a little bit of everything you want in a talented midfielder. Primarily stationed on the right in the Storm’s 2-1 loss to Texas Rush, she was clearly the most individually talented player on the field for the duration.
