Top players from U15-U17 ECNL openers
REDMOND, Washington — After the U14s and U18s spent the opening two days of ECNL Seattle hogging the spotlight, the U15, U16 and U17 sides got into the action for the first time on Thursday. Here’s a glimpse at a few players who stood out from the crowd.
F Rachael Dorwart, Penn Fusion U15: One of the best players in the postseason, Dorwart was a menace in Penn Fusion’s week-opening 2-0 victory. She scored both goals and routinely unlocked the Mustang SC back line with her searching through balls. One of the brightest attacking lights of the week’s festivities to be sure.

M Kailee Coonan, Penn Fusion U15: What’s a good attacking midfielder without her holding midfield mate? That’s Coonan’s role, for this side, and she performed it Thursday without peer. She swept away attack after attack and kept the back line together to help pitch a shutout. Coonan’s defensive calm was crucial.
