US U20 MNT coach Mike Varas was happy to rotate his squad over the course of the Concacaf Championship group stage. With a wealth of talent to choose from, Varas tinkered with the XI, giving every player on the roster a chance to show his credentials.
Although only a handful of squad members enjoyed an extended run on the pitch, there were still some clear standouts across the three group games. Mauricio Cuevas excelled at full back. Paxten Aaronson stepped up regardless of where he played. And in his first U20 appearance, Alejandro Alvarado dictated midfield play with aplomb.
