U.S. U20 MNT Roster for Mexico tournament
The U.S. U20 Men’s National Team roster leaked on social media Thursday evening. With the first game of the upcoming Revelations Cup on Wednesday, the roster has been finalized for some time, but the Federation has still not put out an official release as of Friday morning.
U.S. U20 MNT forward Malick Sanogo posted the roster on his social media. Sanogo is one of six forwards on the roster. He is joined by MLS players Cade Cowell, Brian Gutierrez, Missael Rodriguez, and Quinn Sullivan as well as PSV’s Dante Sealy.
Sanogo is also one of six 2004 born players on the roster. The rest of the squad is made of players born in 2003. This is the age group that will attempt to qualify for the U20 World Cup and the 2024 Olympic Games, as Concacaf changed the qualifying process for that competition.
This is the first event for this age group since the pandemic. They will be tested immediately with games against Brazil on Nov. 10, Colombia on Nov. 13, and Mexico on Nov. 16 as part of the Revelations Cup in Celaya, Mexico.
