BARBOURSVILLE, West Virginia — With just two days of play remaining at the U.S. Youth Soccer Region I Championships on Sunday, the stakes were never higher than Monday's action. Spots in the final were on the line, and with them a chance to compete at Nationals later this summer in Oklahoma.
Cloudy skies gave way to rainy, and far from ideal, conditions as the afternoon approached. That didn't stop some sterling individual performances propelling their teams onto another day.
