Alison Cahill Named to NSCAA/Continental Tire All-America Third Team
KANSAS CITY, Kan.: Ranger women's soccer's Alison Cahill was named to the NSCAA/Continental Tire All-America Third Team Tuesday for her performance throughout the 2012 season.
A native of Boise, Idaho, Cahill has been named RMACs Defender of the Year for the past two consecutive seasons. She started in all 21 matches for the Rangers this year and helped them to a 1.80 goals against average as a central defender. She was an All-RMAC First Team selection, as well as being named to the RMAC All-Tournament team and was a Daktronics All-American Honorable Mention pick.
The Rangers placed six on the All-RMAC teams after going 13-6-2 overall and 10-2-2 in the RMAC, while head coach JB Belzer was named RMAC Coach of the Year for the second consecutive year. Their NCAA post season appearance was the fifth consecutive, while Regis also earned 2012 RMAC regular season Championship status.
