AMHERST, NY—Buffalo State (2-3-1) forced overtime, but host Daemen (2-2) pulled out a 2-1 victory in a non-conference game today at Amherst High School. Daemen is a scholarship program transitioning to NCAA Division II.
Daemen opened the scoring in the 26th minute, but Buffalo State evened the score in the 80th minute on a strike by Dylan Ross (Staten Island/St. Peter's Boys), his first as a Bengal. Robert Baxter-Dennis (Ajax, ON/SATEC at WA Porter) picked up an assist on the tally.
The Wildcats ended the game in the 97th minute, however, when their leading scorer Kyle Clifford netted his second of the game inside the left post.
Buffalo State will next play at D'Youville next Saturday at 7 p.m.
