Highlighted by five teams that finished in the top 50 of the 2011 RPI, the University of Evansville men’s soccer team will compete against some of the best competition in the country in the 2012 season. The Aces will play an 18-game regular season slate that features nine home matches.

 

"The Missouri Valley Conference is one of the top conferences in college soccer, and offering a non-conference schedule that features some of the top teams in the nation is important to prepare our team for the rigors of the MVC," said head coach Mike Jacobs.

 

In exhibition play, UE will face the University of Indianapolis at Arad McCutchan Stadium August 15th and then will travel to Wisconsin to take on the Badgers on the 19th.

 

Opening up the regular season at home, Evansville will host Lipscomb and Belmont the last weekend of August before heading to 2011 NCAA Tournament participant Georgia State for one match Labor Day weekend.

 

The following week, UE will host the 25th annual ProRehab Aces Classic, welcoming Bradley, the Big East’s Cincinnati and West Coast Conference contender Portland to the pitch.

 

The Aces hit the road to St. Louis Saturday, Sept. 15th and then to Butler the next Wednesday before taking on the Kentucky Wildcats Sept. 22 at McCutchan. UE will also host Oral Roberts the following Sunday.

 

After taking a mid-week trip to Eastern Illinois, Evansville will close the non-conference season at home against C-USA’s Marshall University.

 

The Aces kick off Missouri Valley Conference play on the road Oct. 10th at Missouri State. UE will then battle Bradley, who reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament last season, on Saturday the 13th.

 

UE returns home to host SIU Edwardsville and Central Arkansas the next week, before taking a break from conference play to face in-state rival Indiana University in Bloomington Oct. 24th. IU earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament in 2011 and finished the season ranked 10th in the nation.

 

The Aces resume Valley play at Drake Oct. 27th and close out the regular season at home versus Creighton, the reigning MVC Champions and NCAA College Cup semifinalists.
