Five Things: SEC race heats up, Ivy begins
As the weeks tick by, the games in the women’s college soccer season become more and more important.
Below is a look at five things to know from the past week of action.
1. Sizing up the SEC race
Since Texas A&M joined the SEC, the Aggies and Florida have established a stranglehold on the conference race. This year, after each team in the SEC has played four games, things could look a little different when all is said and done. South Carolina currently sits on top of the standings with a perfect 4-0 record, ahead of 3-1 sides Auburn and Kentucky. Does it signal a shifting tide? Perhaps, but both A&M and the Gators are more than capable of running the table to put themselves in contention even with a 2-2 record at this point in the season.
