Men's Division I Postseason Top 100
With the men's season concluded, TopDrawerSoccer presents the postseason player rankings. Here are the top 100 players based on every kick from August to December.
1. Bryan Dowd, Notre Dame – A stalwart in the Irish goal, Dowd was a vital piece to the team’s run to the national final. No keeper compared to the volume of shots the Illinois native faced paired with a high save percentage. His play and outstanding leadership saw him win many games and awards, from ACC Goalkeeper of the Year to College Cup Best XI.
2. Ousmane Sylla, Clemson – Overcoming a slow start to the season, Sylla turned it on when it mattered most, with 15 of his 23 goal contributions coming in the final 12 games. A well-taken goal in the College Cup final to win his second national trophy in three years capped off one of the best careers in recent history.
3. Logan Farrington, Oregon State – Doubling as the Pac-12 Offensive and overall Player of the Year as he led the team to a first-ever College Cup, it is safe to say Farrington’s lone season at Oregon State was hugely successful. And with many of his 15 goals standing as world-class strikes, the Wisconsin native was the rare Forward who brought both quality and quantity when it came to finding the back of the net.
4. Matthew Bell, Marshall – The Thundering Herd may have had a stacked roster, but Bell was the gem at the center of it all. Floating in and around the field with the freedom to do as he pleased, the Sophomore attacker was a reliable playmaking source as the only player to finish the season with at least ten goals and twelve assists.
5. Zachary Bohane, Stanford – The California native burst on the scene this fall after a Freshman season with just three goal contributions, as he began this year with five goals and five assists in the opening seven games before finishing with eight and eleven in each category. Time and time again, the Pac-12 First Team selection showed up when the Cardinal needed him most.
