Men's Team of The Week: October 18
By the time the Louisville back line turned towards its own goal, Syracuse forward Levonte Johnson was already gone. The pass over the top had been perfect, allowing the striker to corral the ball in stride, accelerate towards goal, and finish calmly at the near post. The goal was Syracuse’s second of the night in a massive 2-1 road win over Louisville — a victory that all-but clinched the top spot in the ACC Atlantic division. Johnson has been a nuisance for opposing defenders all season, scoring and assisting to serve as the focal point of the Orange’s dynamic attack. And his game winner against Louisville showed just how valuable he is to the team. He now has 11 goal involvements on the season — and appears well positioned to provide many more.
