The Player of the Week is Martin Bakken of the Dayton Flyers team that shocked the college soccer world with a historic 5-1 upset of previously unbeaten No. 1 West Virginia.

The sophomore midfielder showcased immense quality in that match, playing all 90 minutes while scoring and adding two assists against a helpless Mountaineer team. Bakken then followed with the game-winning assist to help the Flyers earn a crucial A10 Conference victory at St. Bonaventure. The Norwegian sophomore has been a revelation all season for one of the best offenses in college soccer.

Men’s Team of the Week: October 14-October 20

GK: Harrison Gough, Coastal Carolina - No. 10 Marshall failed to register a goal for the first time in ten games as Gough delivered nine saves, including eight in the second half.

D: Mohammed Seidu, High Point - A brick wall that played all 90 minutes in a monumental 1-0 of No. 5 Pittsburgh, Seidu followed that performance by scoring a goal and leading another clean sheet win versus Winthrop.

D: Bastian Hatcher, Monmouth - The Monmouth center-back led with class as he scored a headed goal and played all 90 minutes in a 1-0 upset of No. 10 Penn before playing another 90 in a 1-0 victory over Elon.

D: Ivan Agyaakwah, Furman - Agyaakwah showcased his technical grace this week, scoring once in a 2-0 victory at Presbyterian, then adding two assists as the Paladins defeated the Virginia Military Institute 4-1.

M: Martin Bakken, Dayton - The Player of the Week shined in a historic blowout upset of No. 1 West Virginia, then provided the game-winning assist in a crucial conference victory.

M: Gabriel Bracken Serra, San Francisco - Serra was at his creative best with two assists to lead the 2-0 upset of No. 3 Stanford.

M: Arnau Farnos, Oregon State - Farnos was unstoppable versus Gonzaga, recording a hat trick in a 4-2 win.

M: Taig Healy, NC State - After playing the full 90 in an intense 1-1 draw with No. 18 Hofstra, Healy impressively still had enough left in the tank to pitch in three assists in a 5-1 upset of No. 4 SMU.

F: Donovan Sessoms, Sacramento State - After scoring in a 5-0 defeat of CSUN, Sessoms saved his best performance for the Big West leaders as his hat trick took down UC Santa Barbara 3-1.

F: Michael Huss, Liberty - Huss delivered two goals and two assists in just 50 minutes of action in a 5-0 blowout of Southern Indiana.

F: Jesus Barea, Missouri State - With two goals to lead the Bears past Memphis and the game-winner in a top-of-the-table clash with Bowling Green, Barea is well deserving of his spot in the TOTW.
