Nicolosi Garners RMAC Defensive Player of the Week Status

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.:  Sophomore goalkeeper Christian Nicolosi has earned his first RMAC award of the 2013 season after going 2-0 over the weekend in between the posts.  

Throughout the weekend, the goalie collected 10 total saves and held on to a .833 save percentage while also picking up one shutout. 

In 2013, he has picked up 18 saves in five matches and holds a 2.00 goals against average.

This past weekend, Nicolosi helped the Rangers to two big wins, the first being a shutout over Adams State, 2-0.  He put up four saves during that game for a 1.000 save percentage and picked up his first shutout of 2013.

On Sunday, the Rangers took on #16 Fort Lewis, defeating the Skyhawks 3-2 in regulation.  While in between the posts, Nicolosi amassed six saves for a .833 save percentage against the 16th- ranked team in Division II.

Next, Regis will play Colorado Christian on Wednesday, October 2 at the Regis Match Pitch in Denver, Colo. at 3:30 p.m.
