First, Jacole Turner was going to stick around and play with the Sporting Kansas City U18 team this season in the USSF’s Development Academy.
And then, he wasn’t.
The U.S. U18 Men’s National Team goalkeeper bolted for Europe after a game, but it didn't matter to the Sporting coaching staff or team, as they were more than confident in backup Andrew Dittemore.
The 17-year-old has been in the net ever since Turner's depature, and helped Sporting KC U18 to a 5-4-2 record in the 11 games that he has started in goal. The 6-3 net minder has grabbed the attention of a few college coaches with his play during that stretch.
Now, midway through his junior year in high school, the recruiting is intensifying, and he is exploring his options.
