Defending champions Vermont held steady at No. 1 with two victories, followed by a Wake Forest team that had a game canceled and a high rising Stanford group that defeated Denver in one of the marquee matchups of the early season. 

Virginia Tech and Saint Louis broke into the top 25 due to impressive starts to the season.
