In the three weeks since the SIMA FAB 50 fall season preseason rankings were released, high school play has started in 11 states and No. 1 already has changed hands in five states, including both boys and girls in Ohio.

A tie by perennial state power Walsh Jesuit (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio) allowed Medina (Medina, Ohio) to jump into the top spot in the Ohio girls rankings on the state and region level. St. Ignatius (Cleveland, Ohio) throttled St. Edward (Lakewood, Ohio) to leapfrog Copley (Copley, Ohio) for the state and region No. 1 spot for Ohio.

Other new No. 1s are Jackson Academy (Jackson, Miss.) in girls, Avon (Avon, Ind.), St. Louis University High (St. Louis, Mo.) and South Oldham (Crestwood, Ky.) in boys.

The big match last week featured St. Louis University defeating Chaminade (St. Louis, Mo.) 3-1 in a boys soccer match between a pair of state title contenders.
