HS: Spring SIMA FAB 50, June 16
TOP STORY: It was a week for the dynasties in Michigan and Virginia.
In girls soccer, Battlefield (Haymarket, Va.) pulled off a rare Virginia large-school feat, winning a second straight Class 6A crown. Meanwhile, state-ranked George Mason (Falls Church, Va.) claimed an eighth straight crown. Gull Lake (Richland, Mich.) won a third straight state title, while Unity Christian (Hudsonville, Mich.) won a ninth state title, one shy of the state record. On the boys side, George Mason won a third straight state title.
There is one week remaining in the spring high school season, but most of the positions are pretty well locked down following this week's action.
