TOP STORY LINES: Grandview (Aurora, Colo.) became the first Colorado girls large-school repeat state champion in nearly 25 years. The state final win over rival Mountain Vista (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) capped an undefeated season and secured a SIMA FAB 50 No. 2 ranking for the spring, behind top-ranked Tulsa Union (Tulsa, Okla.).

BIG MOVERS -- BOYS: Iowa City West (Iowa City, Iowa). Iowa City West moved a modest seven spots from No. 47 to No. 40, yet this team might prove to be the strongest challenger to top-seeded and undefeated Iowa City (Iowa) in this week's state playoffs. The last time these teams met, Iowa City needed penalty kicks to prevail and retain its perfect record. GIRLS: Mills Godwin (Richmond, Va.). Mills Godwin leaped back into the Top 25 after avenging its only defeat with a conference championship win over Deep Run (Glen Allen, Va.). Mills Godwin moved from No. 47 to No. 25 this week.

NEWCOMERS: BOYS: No. 18 Bearden (Knoxville, Tenn.), No. 21 Ravenwood (Brentwood, Tenn.), No. 34 Christian Brothers (Memphis, Tenn.), No. 42 Freedom (Woodbridge, Va.), No. 46 Decatur (Ga.), No. 47 West Des Moines Valley (West Des Moines, Iowa), No. 48 Maple Mountain (Spanish Fork, Utah), No. 50 St. Pius X (Atlanta, Ga.). GIRLS: No. 31 St. Thomas Aquinas (Overland Park, Kan.), No. 45 St. Teresa's Academy (Kansas City, Mo.), No. 46 Lewis-Palmer (Monument, Colo.), No. 47 West Forsyth (Clemmons, N.C.), No. 49 Dimond (Anchorage, Alaska), No. 50 [Omaha Skutt Catholic ne-w] (Omaha, Neb.).
