BURLINGTON, Iowa – Within an eight-hour window Friday, all 42 teams at the Adidas Girls Soccer Tournament of Champions played at least one match, and there were several standout performances.
Here’s a look at Friday’s top players:
F: Kayleigh Stahlschmidt, Visitation Academy (St. Louis, Mo.), Soph., uncommitted: We expected to list different top performers each day, but there was no way of denying Stahlschmidt another plug. A day after a one-goal, two-assist performance, Stahlschmidt scored three goals and assisted the fourth in Visitation’s 4-1 win over Divine Savior-Holy Angels (Milwaukee, Wis.). Stahlschmidt has factored in every goal scored by Visitation at the ToC this year.
