HS: Winter state, region rankings, Jan. 14
Another round of Texas tournaments led to yet another significant shuffling of the Texas state and regional rankings.
In fact, three of the four boys and girls Texas regions feature new No. 1s this week, and overall four boys states and two girls states saw changes at No. 1, as well.
The new regional frontrunners are Houston Episcopal (Texas) in Texas-South and St. Paul's (La.) in the Southeast for boys and Southlake Carroll (Texas) in Texas-North and Kingwood (Texas) in Texas-South for girls.
Montverde Academy (Fla.) returns to No. 1 in Florida boys, while Tupelo (Miss.), Flower Mound (Texas) and Punahou (Hawaii) also move into state top spots in bouys soccer, while Kingwood (Texas) and West Lauderdale (Miss.) girls inherit state No. 1 positions.
