Prep High School Soccer Team Rankings

The Prep Top 10 is comprised of schools in the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council and the Mid-Atlantic Prep League, as well as other independent prep schools. Schools in these rankings are not eligible for the FAB 50 high school rankings because these programs either field post-grad players or compete in a league with or against teams with post-grad and/or fifth-year athletes.

Season Complete. NEPSAC B champion.
NOTES: Payton Blynn and Franco Guglielmucci scored the goals to carry South Kent to a 2-0 victory over Brooks School in the NEPSAC B title, securing a second straight Prep Top 10 No. 1 finish. The team's lone loss was an overtime contest to SIMA FAB 50 Top 10-ranked Milwaukee Marquette (Wis.). The team's attack was led by by sophomore Alex Adjetey (15 goals/five assists) and seniors Adrian Lekaj (13 goals/nine assists) and Jai-zel Smith-DeShields (11 goals/five assists). The midfield included Syracuse commit Djimon Johnson, Furman commit Mauricio Dos Santos and Iona commit Tomas Jamett. Defenders Tahzeiko Harris and Rutgers commit Tyejae Burchall anchored a back line that helped sophomore keeper Hunter Kochiss to 12 shutouts.
2 (2) Berkshire School Sheffield, MA 18-1-0*
Season Complete. NEPSAC A champion.
NOTES: Quentin van der Lee scored twice and sophomore standout Jacob Shaffelberg had a goal and one assist as Berkshire School routed Worcester Academy 5-1 in the NEPSAC A final. The ebars claimed their fourth Prep A crown in the last five seasons to close out a 19-1 season. The team's only loss was a 2-1 decision to top-ranked South Kent School.
3 (3) Peddie School Highstown, NJ 14-2-1*
Season Complete. New Jersey Prep A state semifinalist.
NOTES: Peddie School's finished as a Prep A state semifinalist after falling to St. Benedict's Prep. Both of Peddie's losses were to St. Benedict's. The team had key wins over Seton Hall Prep and Hill School, and tied Pennington School. The team was led by seniors D.J. Palmer, committed to Yale, and Martin Ssessegna, committed to Lafayette.
4 (4) Taft School Watertown, CT 17-2-0*
Season Complete. NEPSAC A semifinalist.
NOTES: Taft School's season ended with a 2-1 loss to Berkshire in the NEPSAC A semifinals. Taft routed Loomis Chaffee 6-1 in the quarterfinals before meeting Berkshire.

Brooks School North Andover, MA 18-2-0*
Season Complete. NEPSAC B runner-up.
NOTES: Brooks' postseason run ended with a 2-0 loss to top-ranked South Kent in the final. Brooks had one-goal wins over Cushing Academy and Nobles to reach the final.

Worcester Academy Worcester, MA 18-2-0*
Season Complete. NEPSAC A runner-up.
NOTES: Worcester, never higher than No. 5 in the Prep Top 10, was the No. 1 seed in the Prep A playoffs and reached the final before losing to Berkshire 5-1. Worcester avenged its only regular season loss with a 4-0 semifinal victory over Northfield Mount Hermon.

NOTES: Northfield Mount Hermon edged Phillips Andover 1-0 in overtime in the quarterfinals before falling to Worcester Academy 4-0 in the semifinals of the NEPSAC A tournament.

Season Complete. NEPSAC A quarterfinalist.
NOTES: Philips Andover lost the No. 4 vs. 5 match with Northfield Mount Hermon 1-0 in overtime in the NEPSAC A quarterfinals.
9 Milton Academy Milton, MA 11-3-6*
Season Complete. NEPSAC A quarterfinalist.
NOTES: After falling behind 2-0 in the first half, Milton Academy pulled one goal back by sophomore Niall Murphy in a 2-1 season-ending loss to Berkshire School.
10 (10) Hill School Pottstown, PA 14-6-1*
Season Complete. Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association champion.
NOTES: Hill and Penn Charter went 13 rounds of PKs before Hill School emerged as the champion for the third time in four years. The match was scoreless through regulation and overtime.
