NOTES: One of the most talented high school teams ever put it all together for a second Southern Section-SoCal Regional sweep in three seasons. Stanford commit Samantha Williams, a junior, scored the first and third goals in the team's final 3-1 win over Los Alamitos. Sophomore Abby Lynch, a Loyola Marymount commit, netted the game-winner. JSerra handed Los Alamitos its only two losses this season. JSerra was led by Santa Clara signee Isabella D'Aquila, who missed the regional tournament due to US Under-20 National Team commitments. Other featured players include juniors Jennifer Alvarado (UCLA), Rachel Bastone (Santa Clara), Isabella Beltran (Loyola Marymount), Kennedy Carter (Utah), Kendall Fritts (UCLA), Jordyn Gather (UCLA) and keeper Ryan Campbell (Stanford). |

NOTES: Montverde Academy put together one of the most dominant team performances ever in Florida, beating the state's No. 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 teams en route to a perfect season in which it allowed only three goals. Jody Brown, a junior and one of the nation's top prospects, scored the only goal in the 1-0 state final win over Archbishop McCarthy in a clash of undefeated teams. The two-time defending state champs are riding a 32-match win streak and have won 44 of their last 45 contests. The real strength of this Eagles' squad is the underclass, led by Brown and fellow national recruits Maria Tregansin and Kendall Ayers. From the senior class, Carmen Marin has signed with Florida International. Sabrina Botran is headed to Palm Beach Atlantic, Kalena Iwashita is bound for ASA College and Milla-Maria Kujala is headed to Daytona State. |

Four-star prospect Tabitha LaParl, a sophomore, led the team with 31 goals. Santa Clara commit Colby Barnett, also a sophomore, had 17 goals, and Colorado commit Jayden Newkirk, a junior, finished with 11. Underclass players accounted for 75 of the team's 90 goals this season. |

NOTES: Monte Vista scored a controversial overtime goal following a stoppage of play and edged Davis 2-1 in the NorCal final that pitted two of the nation's top programs. The Mustangs trailed 1-0 before Emiley Benner scored the game-tying goal. Monte Vista finished first in the highly competitive East Bay Athletic League, was upset in the section semifinals, yet advanced to the regional tournament and worked its way through a loaded field of competitors. The Mustangs defeated FAB 50-ranked Archbishop Mitty and Carondelet before beating Davis. |

Davis played the regional tournament without Maya Doms, who was training with the US Under-20 National Team. Davis has gone 85-2-9 over the past four seasons, which includes four league and four section titles. |

The Wolverines also edged Corona Santiago in penalty kicks in the section tournament and defeated San Diego champion Carlsbad in the regional tournament. |

Chloe Laureano, who had committed to Yale, scored American Heritage's first goal -- a penalty kick in the 44th minute. The win marked the 11th state title for the patriots' program. American Heritage's only loss was to Montverde Academy in the first week of the season. |
